Birth of a Poem

‘Pillars of Creation’ – Eagle nebula

From one oblivion,

to another,

sweeps your evanescence.

You stir, somewhere inside,

and quickly hide, behind your own cloak.

Your fading shadows,

camouflage the darkness.

And your haunting voice

with its windy whispers,

tinges my verse

with its anatomy.

Oh you starry-eyed goddess of the insomniacs,

You endow this rhythm,

with the chaos of the absolute.

And an ink-ling of your meaning,

takes birth,

and smears its extravagance

in the anonymity of my words.

One of your best! The nature of poetry so aptly described, its sensuality so vividly portrayed, its existence so marvelously felt. Beautiful :)
