Court and the Straight Line

'Court' toys with your perceptions because you want it to be brilliant, you want it to be thought provoking and intelligent. However, it simply presents a bland picture of reality and the drone of everyday life.

What starts as the life of a simple teacher turns out to be an eventful journey in and out of courts, detention without bail and ill health. Circling around his eventful life are those of others – the lawyers, their families, and even the judge ruling the proceedings. Or uneventful, perhaps, because everyone goes about everything in a routine. ‘Court’ seems inconclusive because life simply goes on for everyone.

What we consider ‘eventful’ is simply a mix of experiences contributed by all participants. For every individual, the life story (and the worldview) is different. We end up observing the straight line (above) with the participants (shapes representing their independent and individual worldviews) contributing to the magic.
